Overnight Desert Safari Dubai with Private Tent and Sunrise

Sleep in the dunes, wake for the sunrise

Overnight Desert Safari Dubai with Private Tent and Sunrise

Overview

The overnight safari is the only version where the desert gets quiet. After the day visitors leave around 21:00, the camp empties down to overnight guests and the sound level drops to nothing. You get a private tent with proper bedding, a bonfire, unlimited stargazing, breakfast at first light and a short sunrise dune drive before heading back. It is the single best-value upgrade in the desert category.

Why visit

Everything people love about the desert — silence, stars, temperature, light — happens after the day trips leave and before they arrive. This is the only package that puts you there for both.

Highlights

  • Private floored sleeping tent with mattress, bedding and lantern
  • Camp goes quiet after 21:00 when day guests depart
  • Bonfire, shisha and unaided Milky Way viewing on clear nights
  • Sunrise wake-up with hot breakfast served on the dunes
  • Morning dune drive on firm, cool sand before the return

Know before you go

  • Pack an overnight bag with a warm layer, a change of clothes and toiletries; leave large luggage at your hotel. Washrooms are shared and a short walk from the tents. Phone signal is weak and there are no charging points at some camps — bring a power bank.
  • Loose, light clothing and closed shoes or sandals you do not mind filling with sand. Bring a layer for after sunset — desert temperatures drop quickly once the light goes. Modest dress is appreciated at camps with live performances.
  • Open to all ages. Dune driving is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart or spinal conditions. Children under three sit on a parent's lap during the dune drive and travel free.
  • Dune driving is not suitable for wheelchair users, and camp ground is soft sand. Camps have firm matting paths to the main seating and staff can assist with transfers. Tell us about mobility needs at booking and we will place you in a camp with the shortest walk from the vehicle.
  • Sleep with the tent flap open in winter — the temperature is perfect and the stars are the point.
  • Set an alarm for 05:15 even if the camp wakes you; first light is the best twenty minutes of the trip.
  • A power bank matters more than you expect. There is no reliable charging in most tents.
  • If you feel the cold, request extra blankets at check-in rather than at midnight.

The silence after 9pm

Once the day buses left it was completely still. We lay outside the tent for an hour just looking up.

Sunrise made it

Cold at 5am but the light over the dunes was unbelievable. Breakfast was better than expected.
