The adventure safari is built for people who want the machines rather than the show. It includes a 30-minute quad bike ride on a marked desert track, a 20-minute dune buggy session in a two-seat machine, an intensified dune drive with an experienced driver, and sandboarding on a steeper face. Dinner at camp is included but the entertainment programme is secondary — most guests are still on the sand when the shows start.

Know before you go

  • Quad and buggy riders must be 16 or older with a valid ID; 18 or older to drive a buggy solo. Younger children may ride as passengers with an adult on the buggy only. Closed shoes are mandatory for the machines and are not available to rent.
  • Loose, light clothing and closed shoes or sandals you do not mind filling with sand. Bring a layer for after sunset — desert temperatures drop quickly once the light goes. Modest dress is appreciated at camps with live performances.
  • Open to all ages. Dune driving is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart or spinal conditions. Children under three sit on a parent's lap during the dune drive and travel free.
  • Dune driving is not suitable for wheelchair users, and camp ground is soft sand. Camps have firm matting paths to the main seating and staff can assist with transfers. Tell us about mobility needs at booking and we will place you in a camp with the shortest walk from the vehicle.
  • Wear clothes you do not mind ruining; the buggy throws a lot of sand even with goggles.
  • Tie back long hair and leave loose scarves in the vehicle.
  • Ask for the guide-led buggy route rather than the loop track — it is much better terrain.
  • Book the machines in advance; on-the-day availability in high season is unreliable.

October to April. Summer departures shift later and machine sessions move to the last hour before sunset.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are charged in full. Date changes are free up to 24 hours before travel, subject to availability.
Getting there
Door-to-door transfer. All machines are provided on site — no licence is required for the quad.

Hotel lobby between 14:30 and 15:15.
