Know before you go

  • Free child seats must be requested at least 24 hours ahead — specify each child's age and weight. Children under three travel and eat free. The fire show happens after this group departs; if your children want to see it, book the standard safari instead.
  • Loose, light clothing and closed shoes or sandals you do not mind filling with sand. Bring a layer for after sunset — desert temperatures drop quickly once the light goes. Modest dress is appreciated at camps with live performances.
  • Open to all ages. Dune driving is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart or spinal conditions. Children under three sit on a parent's lap during the dune drive and travel free.
  • Dune driving is not suitable for wheelchair users, and camp ground is soft sand. Camps have firm matting paths to the main seating and staff can assist with transfers. Tell us about mobility needs at booking and we will place you in a camp with the shortest walk from the vehicle.
  • Bring a change of clothes for children — sandboarding puts sand everywhere.
  • The animal corner is quietest right after arrival, before other families reach it.
  • Ask staff to reserve a low table near the kids' zone so you can eat while they play.
  • Wet wipes and a small torch make the evening much easier.

October to April. In summer this package runs with a later start and the kids' zone moves under cooled canopies.
