Overview

This is the flexible option. You get a dedicated Land Cruiser and guide for the entire trip, and the itinerary is yours to shape: leave earlier for more dune time, add a stop at Al Qudra Lakes, skip the camp shows, or extend the sunset session. Camp dining is included with reserved seating, but nothing is on a fixed convoy schedule. Families with young children, photographers and anyone travelling with mobility needs get the most out of it.

Know before you go

  • The price covers up to six guests in one vehicle. Larger parties book additional vehicles at the same per-vehicle rate. Child seats are free with 24 hours' notice.
  • Loose, light clothing and closed shoes or sandals you do not mind filling with sand. Bring a layer for after sunset — desert temperatures drop quickly once the light goes. Modest dress is appreciated at camps with live performances.
  • Open to all ages. Dune driving is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart or spinal conditions. Children under three sit on a parent's lap during the dune drive and travel free.
  • Dune driving is not suitable for wheelchair users, and camp ground is soft sand. Camps have firm matting paths to the main seating and staff can assist with transfers. Tell us about mobility needs at booking and we will place you in a camp with the shortest walk from the vehicle.
  • Tell the guide your priority — photographs, children, wildlife or thrill — and the route changes accordingly.
  • Photographers should request a 14:00 departure in winter for full golden hour in the dunes.
  • Ask for the Al Marmoom route if you would rather see oryx and gazelle than drive hard dunes.
  • Keep the return open; most groups end up staying at camp longer than planned.

Best time
October to April for comfort. Private trips work well in summer too because you can depart at 06:30 for a cool morning route.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are charged in full. Date changes are free up to 24 hours before travel, subject to availability.

Private door-to-door transfer in your own vehicle for the full duration.
Pickup
Any Dubai address at a time you choose.
